LSI Summer Season

Hey LSI,

The Summer Season is finally here! The LSI Summer Season will keep everyone occupied while we are in the off season and wait for our next official season, but this will also be used to test out new features in the F1 23 game and new systems for the future.

The Summer Season will consist of two tiers, one hosted on Fridays at 21:00 CEST, and the other hosted on Saturdays at 21:00 CEST (check here to see what times the races are for you). No one is assigned to a specific tier during the Summer Season, so you may be put in any tier on any day. Please note that for the Summer Season only, this will be a mixed pace championship where assists are allowed in both competitions.

Summer Season Format

The Summer Season will hold multiple different formats than usual Grand Prix races, as we are hoping to test how different formats work. If this goes well, we may implement it into our future official seasons, however, if this does not work, we may make changes mid season if requested by enough drivers or if we are encountering major issues.

The formats that we will be using throughout the season will vary from race to race, and that will be clarified in the calendar section below. Here are the details of each format:

Grand Prix Format:
Qualifying: Short Qualifying (18 Minutes)
Formation Lap: Off in F1 22/On in F1 23 unless determined otherwise
Race: A 50% distance race with the top 10 finishers getting points (20, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1)
Weather: Dynamic and approximate
Fastest Lap: 1 point awarded for the fastest lap in the main race only

Sprint Format:
Qualifying: Short Qualifying (18 Minutes)
Formation Lap: Off in F1 22/On in F1 23 unless determined otherwise
Sprint Race: The sprint race feature will be enabled, with the top 8 finishers getting points (8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1)
Main Race: A 50% distance race with the top 10 finishers getting points (20, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1)
Weather: Dynamic and approximate
Fastest Lap: 1 point awarded for the fastest lap in the main race only

35% Race Distance Format:
Qualifying: Full Qualifying (Q1 - 18 Minutes, Q2 - 15 Minutes, Q3 - 12 Minutes)
Formation Lap: Off in F1 22/On in F1 23 unless determined otherwise

Summer Season Registration

If you are interested in competing in the Summer Season, simply fill out the Registration Form and we will get back to you as soon as we can! Please note that the teams you drive for in the Summer Season do not have any influence on the teams you drive for in the next official season, meaning that the last official season will only affect next seasons team choices (if you are not aware, the teams you were driving for in the previous official season may have an affect on the teams you drive for in the future seasons, for example, if you drive for Ferrari in season 10, you will take priority for the Ferrari seat in season 11 as you already occupy it, unless you state in your registration form that you would prefer a different team/would rather be in the same team as a desired team mate). Teams will be decided on a first come first serve basis, so get yourself registered now!

If you fill out this form incorrectly at any point, you might still be permitted to race, however, you will be put to the bottom of the priority list. If you have any questions, please ask.

More information will be available soon on the Summer Season, but for now, make sure you check out the sign up form and the teams will be announced between the 24th and 28th May.

LSI F1 Season 11 + LSI F1.5 Season 9 (Official Season)

LSI Season 11 and 8 of the F1 World Championship and F1.5 EU and NA/SA Championships will take place in the new F1 23 game, but more details on this will be available closer to the time. The next official seasons are currently in development, and we may use the Summer Season to test new features that may be implemented into future seasons, therefore, the quality of the Summer Season may be a little less than usual while we focus development on the F1 23 game, but nevertheless we will be working hard to keep everything up to standard.

If you are wondering what dates the races will be, they’ll be released some time after the new game is released so we can do some tests to ensure the game is operational, etc. While you wait for these dates, we would like you to fill out a valuable form for next season that can be found below:
